- Matt Zimmerman, Canonical CTO has an interesting post about bugs
- In September, over 7800 bugs were filed
- 99% were resolved, either duplicates, fixed, invalid, etc.
- Of course, there are still 46,000 open bugs still
- Funny comments left on the blog: some saying Windows and Macs do better
- Of course, I would like someone to tell me what the bug count is in Microsoft and Apples bug trackers. Oh wait, they won’t release any of that info.
- One comment was how there shouldn’t be upgrades, just updates. Like how people have XP on their machines for years.
- The terms upgrades and updates are probably used too loosely.
- Multiple service packs over the years are huge and make lots of changes.

- But its not really Ubuntu’s fault, looks like some of the upstream projects are the issue
